    My gut says 64Rd, but, likely a 65

    I am going with 66 on this and #186. I think coin #186 showed more luster, but I think that is because of the pictures.

    66 with no +1 because of the weakness in strike in some areas.. but with ngc ya never know.

    slightly mellowed luster for a 65 is my guess. wonder what it looked like when it went into the slab.

    66 RD, but what is that on the N + T on CENT, the T in States and the A in America

    Although 66's are plentiful for this one, I can't give this coin a 66 given the marks and spotting. I went with 65.

    First off, those "spots" on the coin are not black in hand. They are shiny areas. There are few enough ticks to qualify as a 67 and it has a funny kind of luster that almost looks matte. I have seen several coins from this era having a similar type of luster. Apparently NGC calls this luster as full luster because they gave it a 67.

    Whoa...never saw that coming. I thought it might have gotten a 66.
