65+1.... a spot and few nics on the reverse.. but beautiful obv,, so will allow the +1 for pcgs in this case...
I went 66. It may just be the picture, and there is nothing noted for 1919, but it sure looks like there is some extra thickness with even some notching on LIBERTY. Does this show in hand?
MAybe a bit wider than usual, but I see no signs of doubling. As best I can pick out, it is just die wear.
The first S in States and the AM in America appeared weakly struck to me, or is it just the image? I went 64.
I think I could justify either a 65 or a 66 for this one. Whichever, it is still a nice coin. It has the luster, strike, and lack of marks for a 66, but it has the beginnings of a couple spots and is fairly high on the orange peal side. If I had to chose, I would probably agree with most of you as a 66, but PCGS said it was a 65, but it did get a beanie.
I won't be home for Thanksgiving so this will be the last score update until after Thanksgiving. I will be able to post answers to the last set and maybe some more, but I am pretty much going to have to play it by ear. Top 10. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses. Darn. Duke nailed them both again. I thought for sure you were going to miss that second one. Really nice coin.
