I'll go with 45 and 62. I can understand getting the Carson graded but can I ask why the 1899?

It makes sense if it goes 63 or better.

Okay, help me out. You all say the 1899 is better than the cc. On the 1899 I see her face looks like it went a few rounds with Tyson. There is a gash behind her head and the rim looks like it has issues. How does that equate to MS?

On the 1899, the only breaks in luster are from marks, and not from rubbing. Marks such as you called out are perfectly acceptable . . . even expected on mint state coins.

The 1882-CC retains nearly all of its original detail, and based on detail alone, might grade AU58. Unfortunately, the coin has surrendered at least 80% of its luster . . . possibly 90%. On the basis of luster alone, I'd have graded the coin AU50. On balance, I think NGC gives the coin a compromise grade at AU55.

The 1882 CC has a mintage 6,764... Which is pretty high for a CC $10 but still minuscule in US coin standards.
