Guess the Grade #1

I'm going to be posting a few different guess the grades over the next several days. I did a NGC Piggyback and ended up somewhere near a 50 coin submission..

So instead of having a one thread 50 coin GTG, I'm going to split it up..





Results will be posted when they are posted by NGC...

Im just here to comment on the Bust Quarter-

MS-62. Looks AU and overdipped, but the TPG won't care
UNC details, whizzed
AU details, cleaned
MS-62. Overdipped (probably just the pictures), but TPG will say ok

Unless the scratch in question looks worse than the pictures show, I would have expected that 1798 to straight grade. Great looking coin for its age.

 

I don't see a disqualifying scratch on the 1798, but those are glamour shots. What are we missing?

Ngc is brutal on any kind of scratch.and their wheel mark details I never understand Pcgs likes the bs cleaned or qc or environment damage calls

none of these were mine, but 3 of the coins were bought as MS64s.... so I'm not upset but I'm sure the owner of them isn't a happy camper.
