Guess the date

Here's a SLQ that's been laying around for a long time, but no date....Hmmm is it a type 1 maybe an 1916 maybe some expert can help

Not an expert but I know that stars below the eagle mean it's a type 2. So it can't be a '16.

 

And the worn date probably means in the 1917-1924 range.

 

I agree with what others have said. The reverse clearly shows it is a Type 2 and based on the date not appearing to be recessed...it is likely 1917-1924.
