I have a roll of uncirculated 1898-O Morgan dollars. Half are from the same die pair, a quarter are from another pair, and the rest vary. The two large groups are VAMs. I was trying to figure out three things. 1. What is the VAM for Group 1? 2. Does the clashing in the hairvee of Group 1 look like any VAMs? Everytime I hear of hairvee clashing, it's a VAM. 3. What is the VAM for Group 2? The photos I saw of the VAM-7A and the VAM-13A look different than these coins. Group 1 Very near or near date open 9 crack through neck to 1 in date clashed obverse and reverse clashing in hairvee on obverse crack over mint mark on reverse mint mark may have slight right tilt spike under tail feather Group 2 Near date closed 9 mint mark high and slight tilt to left crack over mint mark on reverse (higher than Group 1)
