Well, this is more of what would you grade it? Yes, it is in a top TPG slab NGC. I liked the token, couldn't pass it up. An ELk's Lodge token in some kind of Steel GS, from Cripple Creek CO. This is still a gambling town in the Southern Rockies. No date, 21mm.
We have an Elks lodge here. I prefer the Moose club though. Nice coin. I would have guessed lower. What do I know....
Well I think that maybe out of the slab it gets put into that slider category today. I just don't see a 65 grade. I didn't have to pay up so IMO, it was worth the price I paid. The next one is much harder to photo. Might get it out a little later today.
I was going to guess MS 64 before the reveal. I don't think there is any wear-that is just how it is struck.
When rotated it has a slight amount of high point flatness, it does not stand out. When you take a closer look it has a scratch across the I in high. First glance it is lustrous, I just don't think that NGC took enough time looking at it. I can see this as a slider, just definitely not MS65.
