27: 65+ RD. Too much chatter on the face to get 66. 35 #1: 65 RD. Nice color, but there are too many fine tickmarks across the coin for a higher grade. 35 #2: 66RD. Smooth surfaces, good luster, attractive color. This is clearly the highest grade of the bunch. 49S: 65RD (probably?), but I wouldn't be surprised with 64 either. There appear to be a number of very fine contact marks on the reverse that will hurt the grade. I do like the rich color of this one, however.
Would it help anyone if I said there are two 66's (one probably deserves a 66+ but is too old to get the +), one 66+ and one 67.
#1 Nice strike, good luster and only minute ticks. A normal 66. #2 Nice strike and only a couple small nicks. This coin has fantastic luster so much so it was hard to picture. To me this coin deserves a +, but it was slabbed before they were given. FWIW, this coin has better luster than the next two coins. #3 Solid strike, good luster, and nearly nick free. Why not a 67 #4 Nice luster and minimal nicks. The strike is not the solidest, but everything is there. They gave this a 66+. It has everything but the strike. Apparently they value the nicks and luster more than the strike.
Huh, I was a point conservative on every single one of the coins (grading from pictures). Yup, I'm really okay with that.
