Here is one that I just picked up which I think is a wonderful addition to my collection. It is graded by NGC and I am curious to see what you guys think they graded it. I was purchased online so please don't cheat by tracking down the sale and posting the answer. The photos were taken by NGC. It is a 1913-A 3 Mark commemorating Wilhelm's 25th year as the German Kaiser.
PF 63 Cameo ...I believe I see some grazes on the face (or are those breaks in the cameo?)...otherwise, proofs are hard to grade from pictures, so it's mostly a guess...cool coin!
I'll go PF 64. It does look like a proof, though I have one that looks a lot like a proof but is not graded as such.
OK...that's about a day. Time for the answer. NGC graded the coin PF63+ Ultra Cameo One thing I love about proofs is the deep cameo contrast. That is why I jumped on this coin. NGC has only graded one UC and PCGS only has one graded DC (a PR65). I don't have the coin in hand yet so I'm curious to see how it actually looks...but I'm extremely excited for it to arrive. I have been a little concerned about possible hairlines or marks...but it looks pretty clean in the photos despite the 63+ grade. I just couldn't pass up the Ultra Cameo.
