physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

If I were bidding based on those pictures, I would put forth an AU-58 bid. My opinion may change with different pics.

AU 55 - nice detailed eagle but weak hairlines on old George. What's going on with the "3" in the date?

I think the coin is MS, but I also think the coin is far too overlit to give a true, intelligent guess. I went with MS63.

I'm going for a 62. Does the coin have much luster?

the blue stuff i referenced seems less bright in the bigger picture. did you do anything with the contrast or saturation levels on the first image? that blue stuff no the neck really jumped out at me. ive never seen that without proper toning surrounding it and it NOT be some kind of "crud" :)

    thats a scientific term...

That blue coloration is quite common on 1930s era quarters and half dollars that were stored in bank rolls for significant periods of time. I call it phlegmy toning and have done so for years. It is not damage and the TPGs are familiar with the look and seem to like the look.

Thanks Tom for the knowledge. I like it when I learn something like this that you don't find in the normal literature for intermediate collectors (basically non-numismatists, but I'm still a-learnin' ... :)
