This was the center piece of my Matte proof collection that I sold long ago. I never found a 1909 VDB that matched the set. Actually I did but that was at the time that matte proofs were at the top. I just could not spend $8000 to complete the set. I saved this one just to mess with Tom. Guess what PCGS gave it or what you would grade it.
Make those spots look less serious still go with 65 bn beyond that they want em screaming clean still a beauty I'd love to own for my type set
On a piece this attractive, the color designation doesn't really matter. The toning will sell it. I love it!
Thank you to all that posted in this group of threads. It gave me a lot to think about and I learned a lot at the same time. It will be a while but a few of these will be cracked out and sent in. I'll post the results when possible.
