Same theme as the other thread. I've found that I really like semi-PL coins. They have some of the flashiness of PL coins, and much of the cartwheel of frosty coins. The cartwheel luster just looks like liquid, which is the case for my MS-64. I was disappointed with my PL trade dollar as I decided that I like cartwheel luster more than mirror luster, so that is how I will approach my type set when I can reassemble it. Anyway, here is the coin:
Almost made a thread about semi-pl coins today I am a big fan as well. I'm at MS67 here but its probably an overgraded 68
I'm at MS68 for this one as well. The luster doesn't seem to be as good but the surfaces might be better than the last one.
MS 67 ...that one mark on the reverse above the arrows keeps it out of MS 68 (although I would not be surprised to see it in a 68/68+ holder).
I'm personally not a fan of the eagle's breast feathers. For a 79-S those usually look much sharper and better struck. I know it's not an 80 or 81s but still normally pretty hammered from my experience at least. The obverse strike looks great and I know that holds more weight but that really effects the reverse eye appeal for me.
This is a 67 all day long. And you can take that to the bank, I know what I'm talking about. Seriously, I think it's a 67.
I didn't realize it had a CACA sticker until I looked it up again. I think it was a good buy at under $900.
I'm late, but I also was at high gem. How did this girl come out of the bag like that? Some girls just have all the luck.
