Not that it isn't a beautiful coin, it is. I love that classic coin! But if he's more then an AU58, I'll be jumping on someones desk and filing an official complaint! I'll be starting a thread here in a moment...
62 Once again, I can,t tell ware from tired dies, weak strike...later strikes are tough for me most of the time but I,m guessing a weak strike with no ware and a few hits, low luster...all of these drop the grade for me.
Im gonna post the grade cause i want to know why @TJ1952 thinks it is AU. Im not mad im just curious. The coin looks better in hand than my pics show. I also am not sure im gonna keep it as its not a type i avidly collect, so TJ's opinion may help me decide that.
WoW! DAMN! Hold on a minute, I have to pick myself up. I just fell out of my chair. Not that yours isn't a 65, it's a beautiful coin! Don't be insulted by my AU58. I obviously have a lot to learn. I'm missing something here. What am I not seeing with mine? To be honest, I was just visually comparing yours with mine. I'm not an expert. Maybe it's the pictures. Stby.... Let me show you the results of mine.
I can believe it got a 65 I thought 64 because I see plenty of hits on the jaw and front leg. That being said I could agree with a few that went lower. But it's no where near the AU grade. Buffs are notorious for their weak strikes and those that grade say 64-66 with full strikes are usually sold at a premium. A lot of people will buy a slab when the coin is worth less. Nothing against this coin I just feel it's a softer strike that's all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
