GTG Canada 1858 20 Cent Coin

Just picked up this 1858 20 cent piece from a fellow cointalker. Anybody know approximate grade?

Is it medal or coinage orientation? It would depend on which TPG you send it to, if at all. I'd say VF-30, but the photos not large enough to tell more. Full retail Trends is about $250 Canadian or about $175 US and you would be able to buy one up here N of the border for about 2/3 of that.

 

I agree with VF. Nice and original looking.

 

I'm at VF as well (with a small chance of XF).

 

VF-20 with no chance of XF except in an ACG or NNC holder.

 

I looked long and hard at that particular coin when it was offered for sale, and only the contents (or lack thereof) of my wallet prevented me from snapping it up.

Is it coin or medal orientation? The latter is far rarer than the former, and it's relevant to the evaluation.
