I can't tell what's on the holder vs what's on the coin. Obviously it's graded a 67, or there would be no point to this thread.
I here ya on the tough to photo. The planchets were very rough through the 80's This combined with a very lustrous high grade coin is hard to capture. I am not quite sure it would get a 67. MS 66
MS 66+ PL ...it doesn't quite look to be 67; it does appear to be pl in the photos ...this should be an interesting reveal!
Im gonna stick my neck out, (again) and say NO PL. I say 65 Even if it IS graded 66 or higher. Is that a dick move? I cant even tell anymore
Ok ok the wait is over. I think they gave 65 due to weakly struck hair lines. Thing is, I haven't seen a PL Kennedy that cheap before so I had to snatch it up.
Man, I would have given it the 66. Nice looking coin!! I paid $2.50 for my '69-D PL which if it were a Morgan would easily go DMPL.
I am sure I couldn't have passed it up either. The slab photo sure gives a good impression I was more worried about the reverse. It seemed to have more flow lines. And that kept me out of Pl.
