I am a sucker for these. It was a "new" to me dealer, I had never bought from. I paid his price. Two tier: Grade, and asking price.
By the way, what percentage of all CoinTalk Forum 1938-D Buffalo Nickels are possessed between @Pickin and Grinin and @jtlee321 ?
LOL... They are like Lay's Potato Chips, you can never have just one. Currently, my herd of '38-D's has a head count of 13.
Definitely in my opinion MS66, but I'm going out on a limb MS67. Looks like an early strike. The eye appeal is outstanding.
Ah yeah....I recall a time on CT the only member whom collected 1938 D buffalos was............oh right was ME! No jtlee ,no pickin and grinin ,no body but little old me... then a light blub went off duh....all of a sudden everybody is postin buffalos. 38 D buffalos Its like your left foot just not right...... I pity the fool who starts posting h 10's!
I just checked my small herd, I found 1 65 and 3 66's. Last one was an NGC ms66 I won on eBay for $40.45.
I am just gonna let you all know, There is a full moon, it's been a crazy day. Been doing my job fixing peoples houses. Remodels additions, stairs. Just finished a Sauna. In over 25 years, I have never caused a loss, But for some reason today, I punctured a hole in a radiant heat line. Caused about 2500 in damages. The only reason that I still have a smile on my face. Is that in the past I was certified in water restoration, and was able to remediate the situation myself. I have a plumber showing up tomorrow, to test the boiler, check the line and make sure that we have no more leaks? It's a good thing I am also the drywall patch guy. I will post the Grade and price here soon.
We all know you are the man that started it all. @Paddy54 chimed in on a 38D I had posted , said that's a re punched MM, lit off with the variety, and gosh darnit I was hooked. Thanks Paddy!
