GTG - 2005 Lincoln

    I will save you the trouble. It is a business strike and the mark you see in front of the chin is on the slab.

    No offense intended, but are you sure it is a business strike and not a satin finish?

    That is what NGC says and it looks that way in hand.

    Hummm....that's a satin, NGC messed up and someone got it through.

    I thought SP69 but if they called it a business strike MS68 because I think they are a little more strict on them. Nice Lincoln either way.

    If that's a nick in the R 68, otherwise a 69.

    The more I look at this, the more I think it could be a SP. Regardless, it is a beautiful coin.

    It appears NGC had a problem in 2005. A quick check seems to indicate they certified more MS 69's (not SMS) in 2005 than ALL other years combined. And I mean 1909 - 2016
