There is a reason I bought this low grade coin, it wasn't for the variety.

By the way this is part of the scrapping pile.

The details are there? Is it a Large motto or a Small motto, we could start there with why I bought it.

    Can't tell from these Pics.
Is the "D" in GOD the same height as the "O"? How close is the bottom of the letter "T" to the ribbon. Two things right away I look for in the small motto.

I can’t tell if it’s a large or small motto but I’m thinking it’s the rarer of the two. I’m in the AG-3 camp.

The Motto would be the variety. Think what else could make me buy a low grade coin with almost smooth surfaces, it really isn't what I do. There is an error.

The motto is pretty tough from photos, easier in hand.
The other reason I bought it was for the error.
It's fairly easy to see in the photos.

I would say Fair-02. The date is strong, but everything else is really weak. Believe it or not, if the coin gets a straight grade, the lower the grade the better from the value perspective. Some collectors pay big bucks for "the poorest known." I'm not one of them, but they are out there.

I have only owned one small motto and it was "dug" by me and I sold it for $125 or so. It was a Fine details coin.

I put the coin under the lens one more time, these will not show the error though. Just better in detail. I missed a setting last evening.

The close-up the pictures have me grading it AG-3 sharpness, but a "sharpness grade" because of cleaning.

Error? Hmm, all I see is the missing rim on the right side of the obverse. Kinda hard to guess with images that don't show the error.

Medallic orientation, but I have no clue as to the grade. Go with the general concensus and say a 3-4 for that.

Ya'll are right in the ballpark. ANACS gace this one a G4, LG Motto, rotated dies. Nearly 180 degrees. I will post a photo later if needed.

How much does something like that usually retail for? Condition-wise and all, i mean. I saw a draped bust dime a few months back that was in awful condition and graffiti laden that had 180° rotation. I didn't buy it, but I wish I had. Coincidentally, I forget the asking price lol
