40 45 Wouldn't be surprised to see either one as one tick up the scale...especially the '35 as this die marriage usually seems to come flat on obverse and motto on the reverse.
I don’t think you were too far off, I‘d grade them both much lower than what the labels say. I think the 1812 is the nicest one of the bunch and VF30 seems to be about right.
When you buy Bust halves, it is a good idea to be very selective with the look you buy. All dates except 1815 are widely available, unless you start getting rarer varieties. A nice, even dark grey in the fields with lighter high points like you 30, 32, and 34 are excellent. You want to avoid buying cleaned coins like your 29. (just a bit of friendly advice, take it or leave it)
