Hey all! I just won this coin at auction, unchallenged by any other bidders. I feel I got it at a good price. There's a few reasons I got this, one being it's my birth year and I collect various birth year coins.

While I await for it to arrive I thought I'd share and also have a little fun and see if you all can guess the grade (first time I've done one of these). I have the PCGS photos with the cert # removed (no cheating).

So fire away! The answer will be revealed when the coin arrives.

    PR-67 CAM.
The dark toned area on the obverse shows some light scratches. These very light contact marks likely cover most of the coin. Because of the way that the photo was taken, they are being hidden in the cameo contrast.

I have little experience grading proofs, but I'll go with PR-68 CAM.

Grading proofs from photos is a fools errand, but for fun.....PR67 DCAM

I think that the darker toning distracts from the eye appeal. PF 67 DCAM. If there are light wisps in the surfaces then it might be a 66.

Well this coin arrived yesterday and I was able to snap some pictures.

This is the top population at PCGS and it's the only one. Maybe not super valuable or amazing, but I thought it was pretty cool for what I paid for it and the only thing that even comes close to meeting that statistic in my collection.

    Purchase price was $30

Only 10,000 minted according to Numista
