66FS the FS is tricky for me but I think it got a pass.

66, definitely FS. Nice coin.

MS67 FS. Very clean descent strike and nice luster.

 

I said 66. It’s close but I think it missed 5fs

 

67 too many dings for NGC FS

 

Looks like a MS-66, FS to me.

 

MS 66 5fs...steps are there, luster is strong, but a few too many scattered ticks to get to 67

 

Nailed it out the gate! Well done.

I am guessing this mirrors the NGC grader's thoughts.

That coin would have been 5 steps at PCGS for sure. *shocked*

 

Ouch...All the money is in the steps.

 

For my money, the FS designation is subject to a lot of inconsistency.
