I'll add that is is very lustrous in hand. Very strong cartwheel on both sides.

Wow...high guesses! I’ll go MS62 I can’t wait to see what this got. I posted one and the bell lines where much more prominent...as was the crack deep. Also you can read the words on the one I posted...think the highest guess it got was an MS61 and lots of AU’s. Gives me hope!

    MS-63, maybe a 64 with the luster.

MS64 no FBL as all the interruptions. Lots of marks on both obverse and reverse. Pretty coin.

Here's some phone photos to help stir up the pot! Showing some nice luster.

This isn't my coin...it is listed for sale on coinzip but to compare toned 62 D's Franklin halfs.....well you deciede...... 5e1a4232-0771-4c8a-a168-5c842452b291_fullsize.jpg 2f23e44e-e810-41a2-a1c9-cd393850b88d_fullsize.jpg
If mine....I would of had it mounted reverse out...as that is a killer reverse.

I’m not sold that the toning on that coin is original. Even though it resides in a market acceptable slab, I wouldn’t want it in my collection. That said, the OPs coin isn’t my cup of tea either.

The reverse to my eye is very believable as for the obv. I question....the rev. Isn't a deal sealer with me..... this was posted to trigger a responded as yours.... as I personally wouldn't pay any premium for either this specimen or the op's.
And probably not on any 62 Franklin half for that matter.
I do have a complete Franklin collection in MS.
However not to put down the series but find no Franklin that I believe to hold a high value.
Yes a MS 69 70 coin fbl do command the money but I've seen way to many that don't ...and if I was going to throw that kind of coin down on another....it be one with a proven track record of steady value,or an history of increase in value.
That a personal preference......And do understand there are others who would take a chance.

My brother is currently assembling a PCGS Registry collection of Full Bell Franklin Halves and some of the prices he is paying scare the heck out of me from a resale perspective. I'm trying to get him to focus on coins with intense eye appeal rather than just high grade, but he's got the fever and the money, so it is hard to reign him in.
