Yep, I am indirectly on the 1953 quarter kick. LOL, this is one I picked up the other day for a Greysheet deal, and it makes the 3rd or 4th earliest proof coin I've owned (even though I could bag a 36-42 if I wanted).

What is the grade of this quarter?

    PR-66, Cam

I will add the Proofs are almost impossible to grade from photos. When I was building my set old the 1936-42 Proof sets, I gave up on the Internet and had find them at the major shows.

If it missed CAM, it’s because of the reverse. The CAM” designation is given out inconsistently in my opinion.

The third party graders don’t think that Proof coins of this era qualify for PR-68. Those that float on water grade PR-67.

I'll take a stab in the dark and say 67 CAM.

    So, what was the grade?

I actually forgot about it because of the coin shows I did over the weekend, but here's the final result:

@general quarters, you guessed it correctly! It is a PR-67, likely missed cameo because of the reverse. Definitely is a nice coin for the grade.

Gotta shoot a slab photo for a GTG.

Gotta "shoot" one? I'm not sure what you mean.

He means take a picture of the full slab and post it here.
It's of course not mandatory but generally good practice for most guess the grade reveals (although just mentioning the grade is fine too).
