Some noticable flatness on the hair and face. The cleanliness makes up for it I guess. I say MS66 CAC

I'm telling you that it was submitted to CAC, you need to decide if it stickered at the assigned grade that you choose.

Need more detail before I could render a '66. My estimation is '64.

Not sure why this thread isn't getting any traction, but I'm gonna leave it up a few more days before I reveal.

The luster is typical for a 65. It does not sparkle like MS-67 luster.

Again, the marks would have me at 65, but they are about equal to the 66+ posted, so I’d say PCGS graded it 66.

The strike is clearly not FBL.

Did JA like it enough to sticker it? I’d say no because of the weird staining (fingerprints?) in the left obverse field. But since you know it has been sent in, I’d bet it has a sticker. Unless you sent it in yourself or personally know the person who did, there’s no way to know If it didn’t have a sticker.

I went 66, no CAC as the reverse seems a little weak to me.

Well I went 65+ for the same reason. And yes, I know some of these S mints are known to be rare with full strikes. Not my series, but still should affect the grade, I think.

I almost went 65 but I felt the luster would push it to a 66. The obverse is much nicer than the reverse in my opinion.

As clean as they come and as nice (I assume for an S mint FHD - I don't know the series) as they come - so I guess 67+ CAC.

    Typical MS66, above average Luster,
no fbl, strike as usual for year and Mint Mark.

This coin doesn't have MS65 surfaces and it is certainly cleaner with respect to surface preservation than the MS66+ posted previously. Have you ever collected this series?

I voted 66 CAC, but the grade doesn't surprise me.

I guess in my quick glance on my phone, I mistook planchet roughness for contact marks. Looking again, I agree with your statement that this coin is cleaner than the 66+
