yes by now you are tired of GTG buffalo's But what would you grade this one? To my eye this specimen looks hammered, I have a grade in my mind as to what I believe it to be , unbiased opinions are needed to confirm my thoughts.
Im not great with buffalos but if seems pretty nice. I think the slab says 65. I would call it 66 personally.
Thanks to those whom replyed....this was a shot in the dark , the sellers images were blurry, but my search was for an 38D in an PCI Green holder. Yes somewhat a gamble however the burry photos couldn't hide the luster beaming get off the surface. In hand being conservative I say every day 66 + ,possibly a 67. There's not one mark on her. Fields are super clean ,the coin very well struck. Actually a hard coin to image sort of like shooting a proof coin. Guess we won't ever know for sure as this one is in a type collection of PCI Green holders to stay.
Good boy, Paddy, you keep her there. Anybody can see she's gem and then some. I wonder what CAC would do with that grade? We won't find that out, either, as CAC plays it safe, sticking with the Dynamic Duo, NGC and PCGS.
During this time frame yes, afterwards not so much. However here's a pointer to newbies....when ever you see an older slabs rattlers,Anacs, soap bars, photo grade, look at them close as there's gold to be found! Eddie no doubt if CAC beaded these this would come early back solid gold!
I love old holders, my wallet not so much. I've got my eye on a couple different ones right now. I just wish my wallet was a little more cash heavy at the moment.
Being the expert grader that i am, (with pcgs/ngc bidding against one another 2 retain me) i would hafta say MS64 on this. If resubmitted to one of my future co-workers company we would say MS66(+)
