GTG - 1928 Ireland Shillling Proof

    Here's another toned Irish shilling I got. This time, the first year for the type in proof.

    Can you guess the grade issued by NGC on this 1928 Ireland Shilling proof coin?

    I added my other Irish shillings to this thread, too, as more-or-less a reference to how NGC grades these particular coins. Now I just need to decide which one to keep...

    Have to be a WAG from me. I wouldn't have thought it was a proof and I prefer your 63 over the 65.

    I would say 64 but I wouldn't be surprised to be off by 3 points higher or lower.

    Wait you're right, I switched the two grades. Whoops!

    The MS-65 is the first one. The second is MS-63.

    And, yeah it's probably due to my photography skills, or lack thereof. I tried to take some better photos. Maybe these are a little better (?). The second set of photos is of the MS-63 1942 Ireland Shilling to show how it looks slabbed.

    Welp, anyway, it's a PF-63.
