Let me throw a curveball out there-
Is this the elusive AU64 previously mentioned???

I voted- i'll keep my grade a secret for now

64 ....like the nickel, a few marks that keep it out of 65...might be a 64+ but I don’t think that is what the slab says

Tough one, looks like a 64+ with high point rub.

    64. I think the hits on the obverse plus the weak reverse strike prohibits a higher grade.

    Thanks for sharing, LeHigh.

I voted MS65 or it may be the sweetest 58 on the planet.

If the luster is strong, it would probably make 65. It's hard to judge the luster accurately from that picture.

I’ll be the oddball here. . . 63. Seems like quite a few hits from the pictures.

The obverse appears marvelously well struck to me, while the reverse seems lacking in detail (not as well struck). I'm at '63+........

Would want to see this one in hand.

Great eye appeal. Nice luster I am sure. Clean cheek with a few contact marks (mostly on reverse). Average strike.

    Obv 65

I said 63 but not much of an expert on Peace Dollars, although I do collect them.

So hard to tell from picks. I can't tell if it has luster breaks on the eagle and the hair. I get the soft hair strike as its a peace dollar but I don't know if their are luster breaks. I am going to assume that the luster is good in those areas and give it a 64+

This coin is tough. The obverse is MS65 all day long with very nice luster, smooth surfaces, clean focal areas, and nice subtle toning. The reverse is a dog and at best MS63. Personally I grade the coin MS64+ but after seeing the results here I might actually crack it out of it's ICG tomb and send it in to NGC.

It's the nick on the cheek that doesn't make it high grade. MS63 tops.

Wow I got it! And that is why I like ICG so much, everybody hates them and throws them under the bus but there's some fantastic coins in their slabs. LeHigh you could call me an ICG fanboy.

    I won’t, it’s rude, and I’m rude enough already. It’s a gift.

What do you think NGC will grade it if I crack it out?
