So, I thought that I would do a guess the grade with a medal produced to commemorate the first Norwegian immigrants to the US , I understand that this is a difficult one to grade, and I wouldn't have any clue, Here is some info and auction results from Coin facts.http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/9450

I agree, and concur with XF45.

The Norseman here certainly has a bit of "skullface" goin' on, doesn't he?

He looks like something from the movie pirates of the Caribbean.

I thought I would give this an update after the extremely low guess's.
This coin has a lot of luster present, my previous pics were a disservice to the Medal.
    Here are some updated photos
Feel free to change your guess's IMG_0001_4.JPG IMG_0002_4.JPG He still looks creepy with the deep eye sockets. LOL

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

These are incredibly hard to grade, even if you're familiar with them. I don't really see any wear present. You say there is luster, even if the pics don't show it. It appears attractive and original.

I'll throw a WAG of 62, but very low confidence in that grade.

I am so glad that I found this in a slab, I would not have bought it if it was raw. Like most of the guess's this looks like a well worn example, because of the dark toning. In hand inspection though, shows metal flow lines and luster beneath the dark color. IMG_0001.JPG

    Must be the Scotch. :)

    It's not the Scotch.
The history channel has a show called "Vikings" I'd have to say they were quite barbaric. (if portrayed correctly in the show)
The coin seems fitting, if you can imagine some deep glaring/piercing eyes in those sockets.

Ya know, those boys was traders too right? Lift the Dragon Head off of the prow of the ship and instantly, you're a 'merchantman'........
