Thats not fog my gold fingered friend its booming luster! Ok ill confess, its probably reflection from daylight as im too cheap to go buy a flourescent bulb lol. I apologize 4 the less than stellar photos everyone!
Isnt that a song? Oh and for bonus points if you are really good (or a geek) like me you can take 1 look at the coin and know exactly what vam it is! Heres a hint: its a HOT 50 VAM
I haven't learned the VAM's yet. Still working on trying to learn to grade these beauties. I wan't to be able to cherry pick some of the high grade ones. Once I'm there, I'll start focusing on VAM's.
MS-64???? I agree with you, 1921 Morgans are very different than earlier Morgans, even the designs have small inconsistencies, Certainly a very nice coin and as you know I love looking at Morgan Dollars.
Coinman it seems you and I have similiar taste in coin collecting. This one has that great luster sometimes seen on 21morgans. I love cherry-ing these because if 21s ever become widely accepted by the public, i will have a huge leg up on everyone as im trying to put a short set of '21 p,d & s VAMs together
Not sure exactly how to respond to your question, you obviously arent real familiar with the series if you are asking i guess. But to answer the question, these are referred to as "the ugly duckling" of the series. People dont really even count '21s as part of a set. They are THE most common of all morgans and the list goes on an on! Save for the dye-in-wool specialists such as myself they are commonly overlooked!
