I know, it's not earth shattering to see a 1921 mercury dime, but I like them and I just bought this coin.

It is PCGS certified. Guess the grade!

    I will guess 25, but with those pictures, 12 - 40.

I'm guessing it got a VF25, tho' the reverse looks a little weak for that. Nice collector coin.

I'm at F-15 on it. It may be a VF-20 it's hard for me to tell with the small dark photos.

F-15 due to reverse banding. At least it's clean.

I'll go F-12 for the win since its a key, and I can't see much detail on reverse

Can you post a better picture of that reverse?

Humph.Whine. Sometimes you just never know what dem TPG's will do. I'm looking at my 26-S that doesn't look a bit better than this one ( obverse anyway )but NGC gave it a VF-30. Yes mine is overgraded imo but...anyway would like to see a better pic of your reverse too.

Sorry. I'm still deployed overseas and the coin was sent to my house (it must be sent to the billing address on my card!). The pics were taken by my wife with her phone, so that's about the best I can do for now.

I have ordered a digital microscope type camera for numismatics, which will also be at my house shortly. When I get home I'll try to get some better shots.

Thank you for your service, but it is a bit hard to grade from those pictures.

Man, @ this rate, I'll hafta build a new trophy case soon... I've been on a roll lately:cigar:
I think it is awesome that your wife photos coins for you, that is awesome and she is a keeper...My wife despises coins, said something about paying more attention to coins than her, I think that's what she said anyway, I wasn't paying attention

MOST IMPORTANTLY, THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE MAC!!

Technically, I would have graded this one F15 obverse, VG8 at most on the reverse. I guess PCGS averaged the two sides and came up with F12.
