I like the color. It is a little worn. For me 55/53 is about right I think.

AU55 and poorly struck, but still beautiful.

55, lotta rub on the mast of the Mayflower. Not many distracting hits and the toning is primo!

'53....the mast and the ribbing within the mast (reverse) are well worn or poorly struck.

AU55 and beautiful. One of the very first rainbow toned coins I ever purchased was an NGC MS66 Pilgrim on a rainbow sea.

I picked AU55, but it might go AU58. Hard to tell what with all that damage...er...toning. ;)

I haven't seen a Pilgrim that poorly struck. But pretty.

Same here, it’s a pretty but weird coin. This G6 in CoinFacts has stronger masts. :playful:

I see wear and it's not quite the look of an AU 58; nonetheless, it has great eye appeal.

Beautiful toning! I guessed 58, but I could see an argument for 55.

I opted for color over strike on this one- I have been looking for one of these for some time and haven’t seen many with nice toning, even if budget was unlimited. Hopefully someday if I’ll find a gem like that with toning/well executed strike and upgrade, but this will work for now.

Wow! Nice grab. There's always more to learn about strike vs rub, ect...

Wow, I went 55 as I thought untoned surfaces seemed to have circulation wear, but guess not;) Very nice coin in any case, one of my more favorite commemorative halves.
