Most of the raw 1904 O ' s I have had only gone MS-64. This is a nice toned coin, however I'm going with my experience with 3 rolls of unc. 04-o's.
I guess it's true, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally do not care for the toning on this coin, it makes it look like camouflage and it also makes it hard to see the details. In guessing a coin's grade from a photo I'm looking at the area between eagle's talons to the leaves and bow on the reverse and the Cotton Boles, Ivy and hair over the ear on the obverse. These areas show too much wear to be an MS-anything. So I say XF45.
Which is precisely why i bought this thing, dont you know? Camo is an all-time favorite of us hillbillies... oh and btw, i dont think those are ivy leaves on Miss Liberty's headband there, not the english nor the poison variety. Here's a useful photo ^^^^^
LOL . when I saw the 67 before looking at the coin , I thought wow did they miss this one . Though that is a beautiful '43 .
