First off, this is not my coin. The owner strongly disagreed with the grade and thinks PCGS is scamming with their fees. What do you grade it?

    (Hint: it graded problem free)

It is pretty nice. Quite a few marks behind the head so I will say MS-64.

MS65+. Focal points pretty clean, decent strike, a little contrast.

What'd he do, buy it sight unseen? MS64 maybe 65 if those areas on the cheek are just light frost breaks bouncing the light around.

No higher then 64. May have graded a 63 as PCGS might be clamping down nowadays from what I've been hearing.

Hard to tell from the true view but im seeing hairlines in the fields. Makes me think AU58 if they arent polish lines but i cant actually pull the trigger on that based on the pic.

    Im going with MS62

PCGS graded it MS-64. You guys confirmed my suspicions.

The owner thought it would grade DMPL (he claimed 16” mirrors), and probably a higher numerical grade.

I don't see that ever getting DMPL in my opinion

DMPL??? You gotta have liquid fields to get that. That guy is nuts.

I told him that the ones who complain the loudest about the grades they get are the ones who can’t grade to begin with.

That looks like a completely text book/standard example of a 64. You need to really go back to the drawing board with your grading skills if that was a shocking result.

Also not even close to DMPL he must have never held an actual DMPL before

MS-64. Certainly not close to DMPL.
