I bought this because of the slab. Have fun!

Guessing AU55 due to wear on hair. But, could be ms with weak strike.

...I'm interested in hearing what about the slab made you buy it....

I'd give it an AU55 maybe 58. But I am guessing it went a 63

AU58. The dull darkness on the high points indicates too much rub to slide into mint state, as I see it.

Agree with the AU55, but wonder if the distortion on the cheek is plastic on the slab or damage to the coin itself. If the latter then lower grade than AU55.

55 to 58. Could it be that you acquired it because the slab did not indicate it is Vam 8?

My first thought was MS63 light bag marks on the face but the breast feathers are weak but everything else looks pretty good.MS63

Unusual for the op to buy slabbed coins... could be wrong though but im going to say the lable says MS65 which would be overgraded IMO.

This is a tough one because there's known weakness in this series in the areas, especially in the hair, that otherwise look like wear. I'm going to say this one has an MS grade on it. In my humble opinion, it's a technical gem, except for the spotting.

Who saw this coming? I got it for $29 shipped. Under 10x, I see only 1 thing potentially worthy of a details grade. I agree that it should be AU. Care to opine?

I went with a hopeful 65 thinking the hairlines weren’t too bad. Guess they were.
