I thought the same thing, but I see neither the eyelid nor the 8 in the denticles. All the same, there are currently only two defined Far Date 1888-P's, although VAM-13 isn't exactly "defined."

 

I'm going to agree with the MS63 camp, but I also don't like the mark behind Liberty's head. Enough for details?
