There is a chance that it went details (cleaned) but I'll say it got a straight grade at
    AU 53

AU55 details. The surfaces just do not show any luster but there is plenty of details.

Should it be gtg'd with or without the harsh enhancement attempts and damage and green stuff, or with it?

I'll be an outlier on this one and say XF-45, no bean. It might have gone AU-50 on a good day without the dings, hits, and as @charley says, "the green stuff".

very early today, but you all very close/right on...
yes she got hit for "cleaned" but I decided I'd rather this nice AU cleaned over any of the VF-XF examples I've found in the same price range :D
she is much darker then then glamor shots show, but it is without a doubt the same coin :D (the dings match up lol) These were the crappy sellers pics...

The "glamor shot" gives it a totally different look. The slab photo makes it look like it's been artificially recolored.

I owned this one for a number of years until I upgraded to a Proof 67. This is the overdate variety although that does not add much to the value.

Interesting, I'd have gone for UNC Details, because the fins on the reverse C rarely last with ANY wear.
