The obverse is 55. In the future, you really need to post both sides of the coin for us to guess the grade.
$76k is a little over spot.... hehe. The coin is actually a 1860-D, which apparently is known for having a terrible strike, etc. I was blown away to see this was a MS64. Such a nasty looking coin for such a high grade! http://www.ebay.com/itm/201217865905?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Send it into pcgs, once it comes back as either filed rims, or detailed, with no grade, then I can let you use my gun, to shoot yourself in the head, no punt intended
It's been graded was gonna say 50 details scratched but being a 60-d I can see higher those southern mints produced some awful quality coins. The scratches are likely planchet flaws as the lumpiness on the reverse that or die rust
Even a Philadelphia 1860 is a bit better date just bought one last week that I need to send in to be graded is a tougher coin then the mintage lets on like so much early gold. This on the other hand is a real rarity
