Solid XF45, but not enough luster/details for AU50. Original surfaces. Some minor flaws on the obv, don't think they are bad enough to justify a details grade but I could be wrong as well.
I agree , XF-45 . I almost went details because of the obverse scratches , but like micbraun thought they weren't bad enough to detail her . Love those die cracks though .
No way I would call that coin ugly - even if details. For me it was tough on the details or not - so then I waffled between xf40/45. I went higher just because the pictures make it look nice.
Wow! I don't want to say "undergraded" but yours certainly doesn't have as much wear as the PCGS photo-grade VF35 coin. Look at Liberty's hair or the eagle's feathers/talons... seems like NGC is stricter with the series.
Looks like a nice original coin! I suspect it was net graded to 35 for the obverse marks, but I really like it!
