image.jpeg image.jpeg Gtg 1827large cent this a tough one. I wasn't sure when I sent it raw what pcgs would call it. The grade surprised me. straight pcgs grade

No chance mine will ever be good. I'm a terrible photogapher. My girlfriend tho is good. I need to get her to image coins for me

Yes it is. This coin was found by a friend while dismantling an early house in Maine

That's awesome, mine is worn some. I think the purer copper was still being used, as on the previous series classic head. I read that's why they corroded or wore down so easily. nice score there

I'm also at MS-63, but surprised it did get a straight grade! The corrosion around "States" must look worse up close than in-hand.
    Outstanding find!!!

I can't see any rub, so MS 63?

I don't see why people are missing the obvious circulation rub, which I have circled in the photo. If you look at the discolored areas, especially in the hair, you see where the design has been flattened a little.

No, it is wear. This is how Bill Fivaz explained it to me:

I see the third type on the OP's coin.
