Same objection as the last chain cent you posted. This one is nicer than the last one by a good margin. While there is some highpoint wear on the obverse, the luster looks very good. Straight grade this is an AU55, maybe 58, but I have no doubt that it resides in a low MS holder.
NGC graded this one MS-62. Hertitage's EAC expert grades it at AU-50, and Noyes says AU-55. There is obvious wear, but a lot of luster, so I said AU-55/58. Once again, my grade agrees with Lehigh's. This coin sold for $253,000, which is in line with the TPG grade for the variety.
