Green wheat cent. Why???

    The surface is smooth and obviously wasnt painted on. Very reflective in some pics. Strange IMG_20160711_170549.jpg

    So ....Damage? its surface is still nice , maybe Ill keep it for luck on St.Patty day.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

    The surface of the coin, underneath the verdigris, is most certainly damaged.
    You could use some Verdi-Care to try to remove it.

    I think I will let it be. Looks really cool in hand and besides, I have many more 41 d wheats. Thank you for letting me know why it turned green. Never seen one like this one , green yea but they are always rough textured. Any hoo greatly appreciated
