    Rome mint. Struck under Marcus Aurelius.
    Obv. Draped bust right.
    Rev. Cybele seated right, holding drum on knee, between two lions.
    RIC III 1663 (Aurelius)

    about the Silphium plant:"the Romans considered it "worth its weight in denarii" (silver coins). Legend said that it was a gift from the god Apollo." now thought to be extinct. possibly related to fennel- makes sense since the Thyrsus is made of a fennel stalk. @Alegandron

    I captured it for those reasons: Silphium plant's importance in ancient times, the cool patina, and yeah, I will put the weight of my body on a scale and say that my coin would be worth that in Gold. :D
