Greek Letter Beta

    This ancient Greek coin has the letter Beta ( B ) in circle on the reverse. I think it must represent something. That's new to me.. Any opinion? G Beta R.jpg G Beta.jpg

    It's Apollo seated on omphalos. The beta is either a monogram or control mark. You could search wildwinds for all the Seleucid kings named Antiochus for a similar mark. I'm too lazy.
