Hi folks! I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Vecchi 5th edition of Greek Coins and their Values. (Only vol. 1 is out so far.) Also, I'm wondering: if pricing were equal (which it most certainly is not), and if the second Vecchi volume were already published (which it is not), which edition would you recommend a person new to Greek coins get, and why?

My goodness! I wrote that comment after having no sleep the night before, and that definitely put me very far out! The David Sear volumes I was mentioning are not the "fourth edition" of Greek Coins and their Values: they are the third edition. The Vecchi volumes are the fourth edition.

Vecchi's Vol. 1 seems to be due out in 2022, but there is one seller who claims to be selling this book now, but with a publishing date of 2018.

As with prior issues, the pricing is possibly obsolete on the day of printing....and highly subjective. Still, it is a guide.
