Hi everyone...I just wanted to share my excitement today with y'all. Last week my husband was asking for birthday ideas for me so I mentioned a few coins that I probably wouldn't spend the money on for myself. I didn't think much of it at the time. This past weekend he was walking the local show with me and playing the straight man pretty well I must say. Apparently he had already been there earlier in the day dealing with one of my favorite guys before the show even opened. So...tonight after Joe's soccer game he gives me my present. An MS65 1883 CC Morgan! DROOOOL! Luster galore!! Bright white and stunning. My very first CC! Even though he's not a collector he picked VERY well...and, apparently, so did I What a guy...I think I'll keep him
Yeah...I know! I thought about that when I was putting up my original post. I've tried scanning coins before with only moderate luck. Looks like I'll need to spend some time experimenting with the digital cam and scouring archived posts on the subject.
You only think it's hard - it's not really. Just takes a little practice. Hey - if I can do it - ANYBODY can
Speedy...Yeah, I really need to work on this darn picture thing. Worst case scenario I'll send it to GD to take some pics for me since he's so good at it tradernick & rggoodie...Thanks for the wishes. LOL, toning? I'm not getting older, just more fabulous! And I prefer not to think of it as more grey hair, just more luster!
I don't think I'm balding, I've just got more forehead luster. Like Full Split Bands, it's the mark of a "well-struck" KLJ. Although to be fair, because of some run-ins with my grandparents' porch and a softball bat, I've got a few bag marks. Happy Birthday! Maybe your husband could give my wife a few hints. She wants to do well, but gets overwhelmed easily - and we all know that never happens in numismatics.
