Going through foreign from my father’s travels working over seas. Some are worn but looking through different countries’ coins are so interesting. That second is a halfpenny, not "half cent".

A cent is a decimal unit (1/100). These coins were from the old pre-decimal British system.

These are nice. Common in lower grades like this, but definitely fun. It was British large pennies that were responsible for my becoming a World coin collector, decades ago.

Thank you. I have so much to learn. It is very interesting and memory of dad in his days of travel to other countries.

I like British half pennies and pennies too, I even have some full sets like the 1937-1956 half penny and 1937-1966 oenny.

I lived in England for two years just before my teenage years, and I started collecting pennies there. I had most of the dates from 1896 - 1967, except for the pennies of the 1950s (which were uncommon), and of course, a 1933 which were extremely rare (less than 10)
