Grease struck buffalo?

    Clearer pictures would be better but since both sides seem to be word down and no date is visible I am going with wear/tear.

    Could be struck through grease, but after being worn through circulation and shot through plastic, it's really hard to tell. ;)

    Thank you. In my opinion it's a dateless, well worn buffalo nickel worth about .50 cents. I see no signs of a grease filled die, just wear.

    It looks like acid may have played a role in it's life at some point. Maybe someone was trying to get back a date from a date less nickel and was unsuccessful.
