How accurate would you folks say my grading is on these coins...

I put the grade number between the coins in the pictures. I used the stuff I leaned on the internets + PCGS photograde as a guide.

Just keep clickin'and they should get bigger. Stil tryin' to find a better hosting solution.

Lots of people use Photobucket if they want free image hosting.

You images go from fair to unusable.
But based on what I can see:
    #1 - XF
    #2 - AU
#3 - Too dark; can't grade (and there's no current grade equal to 16)
#4 - Your 10 is close (maybe only an 8)
    #5 - Too dark; can't grade

    Okay here goes
1 A very ugly MS-60 with fingerprints and haze and a lot of bag marks
2 An Au-58 coin, slight wear on some high points, could just be slide rub
3 A F-12 hard to tell with a coin that dark.
    4 VG-10 is a spot on grade.
5 weakly struck MS-63, lots of incomplete details on leg and eagles feathers.

Well before things go belly-up again - are these scans or pictures? I see I can blow them up, but not getting a lot of detail or luster. I would put (1) Low MS and (2) Can't see any wear and would put it MS. But if there is a touch of wear I would say AU-58. Skip 3 it was just to dark for me. For 4 I would say F-12. 5 - I just could not see the details and am not sure if it is the picture or the coin so I skipped it also.

Sorry forthe dark pictures guys...... They're not that dark on my monitor. I'll take some better ones tomorrow morning, and repost

mark_h these are photos, not scans... tried to do some scanning but it didn't turn out.

Okay - to me they are not sure the color or luster correct and that I guess could be the lighting. Makes it tougher for me to grade them - especially when neither are really my forte. I typically work with the ANA grading guide and in addition the photograde guide.

They all have the same 'washed out' silver color. They all have that same, 'monotone' (for lack of a better descriptive word) look. Not trying to offend the OP, so with that said....

#1 & #2 could be anywhere from AU55 to MS63 (better?)...so, I can't objectively commit, because of the washed out look.

    #3 F12

    #4 Scratched/Damaged...8 details

#5 AU with some possible PVC

I only looked at the first WLH - I'd say you need more practise. There is mega detail missing on Liberty's and the eagle's leg = circulated, definately not unc.

no offense taken about the washed out loook stuff.....

The actual coins are darker with more individual character than in these photos. I think the outdoor light gave them that washed out look. Especially on 3 & 4.

Hmmm.... I think I need a more ajustable camera.....

For my education why do you say PVC damage on #5?

I'm with Tex Mech, I'd love to be educated about PVC damage.

In the other pictures it was much easier to see and there was even a trace of green left if I recall.

But I have marked some areas on the current picture where I believe you can see traces of PVC damage.

OK, that helps. I can look at a coin several times and not see this stuff. You guys look at it once and spot something, but I know you'all know what and where to look. I am learning to be better at that. It certainly takes practise and learning.

OK - so describe to me what you see now.

    OK,
    - Looks like a pretty good strike to me
    - Both the Obv and Rev show little wear, but some hits. IMO might take it from an AU to MS
    - Does not look like it has been cleaned
    - Both the Obv and Rev show a white ring that might be from PVC. For example look under the birds beak and on the Obv its a kind of circulair ring inside the coins rim

Look at the left area I circled. See how the surface is kind of hazy looking, almost like dried milk. And how it kind of swirls around in there - that's what PVC does when eats away at the coin. Same thing in the other 2 circled areas.
