Hi, Is it worthwhile to have some of my best coins graded? If so, Can I get some advice from you all on who you like for grading. As for cost, quality of grade, and turn around time. Thanks

It depends on what coins you're talking about and what you're planning to do with them.

It usually turns out to be more expensive than thought once you add the registered mail to and from the service. With a larger number submitted, it becomes better. Look for specials: Anacs is currently grading 1878 Morgan varieties free, ICG has a $12 - 2 day any US dollar ( VAM extra) deal. NCG seems to be the least expensive for variety labeling over normal grading cost. etc. , For really high end coins PCGS is usually preferred, although I think most of the big 4 are close. I haven't submitted to ICG since they moved to FLorida.

you can always submit to DGS as well. They are new, but they are owned in part by David Lawrence Rare coins so they aren't a fly by night like some others.

Cost my dad $100 to get PCGS First strike on the UHR. Turnaround was just over 2 weeks. Only that experience with grading.
