Grading question ?

    Hey you fine people of coin talk . I have a question . Does MD or machine doubling , interfer with the grade of a coin ? No particular coin . Just hypothetically asking .

    i would say not MD but DDD

    How could it? It happened when they were born.

    EDIT: You meant "interfere" and the last "e" didn't make it off the keyboard. I read that real quick as "infer." Anyway, it shouldn't affect the technical grade, which is the condition grade, but it might affect the market grade, which is the money grade.

    I don't even think DDD affects the grade...except by that point it might be not such a great strike.

    Yup Possible Weak strike thats why I said DDD I don't think there's anything else besides that as you stated.

    Nope! The same would be true for a grease & debris-filled die. Take a look at my Kennedy missing the clad layer. It's graded MS64. Be sure to look closely at the obverse. (Click on it to enlarge)
